The Artist
Richard Duguay nails the hard truths of life with a sound that’s been described as “The New York Dolls meets The Rolling Stones.” His new album Bad JuJu harkens back to early Alice Cooper with story-telling panache, epically cinematic sonic assaults and flat-out rockers. His anti-hero character “Dr. Silver” guides the listener through catchy, melodic riffs that melt into psychedelic bridges leading to bursts of unexpected acoustic charm.
Duguay writes and records in his home studio in North Hollywood, CA where he created the 2018 gritty six song EP Lead Us To Temptation that features a bad-ass saga Take The Money, a haunting ballad Sundowns & Shadows and the infamous Hollywood anthem, Fuck You Fame Whore.
Gloriously Reckless was his first release in 2011, recorded at LA Audio Lab with Pete Mills. Duguay appeared on Guns & Roses’ The Spaghetti Incident, featured on Johnny Thunders tune, You Can’t Put Your Arms Around A Memory, and toured the globe with Duff McKagan. His roots run deep in the punk rock scene, starting his career playing with the legendary Personality Crisis.
